Sarah Catherine Simmons Pitts was born on the 24th of August in 1836 in Dooly County, Georgia, she married Owen Taylor on the 6th of September 1863 in Dooly County, Georgia. Owen Taylor was born cir. 1810. Sarah died on the 24th of January in 1934 in Myakka, Manatee County, Florida and is buried in the New Zion Cemetery. Sarah Catherine Simmons was the adopted daughter of Hardy Pitts. She was the issue of a previous marriage of her mother Nancy Hiatt Pitts.

I show the following children Hardy Taylor, born cir. 1864; John Taylor, born cir. 1867; Adelaide Taylor, born 3 April in Georgia, she married W. J. Young and died 9 October 1936 in Arcadia, Desoto County, Florida and is buried in New Zion Cemetery, Hardee County, Florida. She was 75y 6m 6d old.
