I have very little at this time on John Pitts, he married Nancy Horton (?). Nancy was born cir. 1797 and died cir 1874, she is buried in the Pitts Cemetery in Arabi, Crisp County, Georgia.

What I have gathered on the children of John and Nancy Pitts is they had 8 children known of; Martha Margaret Pitts born cir 1819; Hardy Pitts born cir. 1821; Nancy Pitts born cir. 1829; Benjamin Pitts born cir. 1831; William Riley Pitts born cir. 1833; Rebeka Pitts born cir. 1837; Jordan B. Pitts born cir. 1838; Horton Pitts born cir. 1840. Given the gaps in the births of some of the children, there was probably more.
Death
My link to John Pitts is through his son, Hardy Pitts, and his third wife. Charles Anderson Pitts married Myra Louise Story, they in turn produced my great-grandfather John Richard Pitts.
