Frederick Buzbee was born 1792. I have found information that he was born in Edgefield District, South Carolina. Frederick’s tombstone in Covington County, Alabama states he died in 1883 but I find Frederick in 1885 Walton County, Florida State Census. Is it possible that whoever erected the monument got the date wrong. This is definitely the same Frederick.

Frederick Buzbee married Sarah Lipscomb cir. 1822, supposedly in Orangeburgh District, South Carolina. Sarah Lipscomb was born 1802 in South Carolina. Frederick and Sarah had following children: Basill Buzbee, born 13 Feb 1820; Elisha Marion Buzbee, born cir. 1825; Elizabeth Buzbee, born 1827; Hulda Buzbee, born 1828; Lucinda Buzbee, born 1830; Frederick Buzbee, born 1833; Thomas Jefferson Buzbee, born 1835; Louisa Buzbee, born 1846. I have located information that he may have had other children. Washington Buzbee, born 1817; Judy Buzbee, born unknown; Henry Daniel Buzbee, born 3 Jun 1822.
Death
Frederick Buzbee supposedly died in 1883 and is buried in the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Florala, Covington County, Alabama. Sarah Lipscomb Buzbee died in 1865 and is buried next to her husband, Frederick.
