Frederick M. Rooks was born to Isaac Rooks and Eliza Sumner on the 29th of January 1848 in Irwin County, Georgia.
Through the years
Frederick Rooks married Harriett M. Haman, (Daughter of Williamson Haman and Susan Messer/Mercer). In 1870, Harriett is living with brother, Morris Haman and her mother, and a young girl, named Anna. (I believe that this is Harriett’s daughter) In 1880, she is married to Fred Rooks and have a 13 year old girl named Sarah F. living with them listed as their daughter. (Is this the same little girl in 1870 and “IS” she Fredrick’s daughter.) I find Fred living as a widower in 1900, by 1910 he is remarried to Eda Amanda Turner on 28th October 1900. Frederick in 1870 is living with his parents. I have found records that show that Frederick was married to a Edith Coleman but cannot find proof of this marriage. I am still trying to find the marriage record between Frederick Rooks and Harriett Haman.
Death
I have no information at this time about the death or burial of Harriett Haman Rooks. Fredrick M. Rooks is buried in Salem Cemetery, Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia. Census records that I have found shows only one child.
