Through the years
Elizabeth Ellen Sumner was married first to Jacob James Samuel Young on the 13th of May 1859 in Worth County, Georgia. Jacob James Samuel Young died shortly after being transcripted into the Confederate Army. The family story is that James was taken to Andersonville to train and then shipped by train to Savannah, on the way to Savannah, he died of the measles, he never fired a shot in battle. She married second James Walker Trammell on the 28th of February 1867 in Worth County, Georgia. I believe that Elizabeth and James Young had two children; Jessie and James. This information has been verified by a descendant of James J. Young. James J. Young was born 23 November 1861 and died 27 November 1927.

Elizabeth Sumner Young Trammel died on the 20th of July 1914 and is buried in the Poulan Cemetery, Poulan, Worth County, Georgia. Her first husband, Jacob James Samuel Young died on the 24th of April 1862 and is buried in the Joseph Sumner Cemetery in Worth County, Georgia. Her second husband; James Walter Trammell died on the 27th of September 1910 and is buried next to his wife.
