Archibald “Archie” B. Haman was born to Williamson Haman and Susan/Sukey Mercer/Messer in Roberson County, North Carolina.
Through the years
Archibald “Archie” B. Haman married Martha Cox in Dooly County, Georgia on the 24th of July 1865. Archibald Haman is living in the Cox household in 1860, working as a laborer. Martha is 17 years old at the time. They had two children that I am aware of. They are listed with a son, John W. Haman, 2 years old, in the 1870 Census. Martha Cox Haman is then listed in 1880 Census with a son, James W. Haman who is 8 years old. John W. Haman died sometime before 1880 but I have not found where he is buried. Census records show that Martha Cox Haman had 5 children but only 1 surviving by 1910.
I believe that the Martha Hamon in 1900 is the same as the Martha in 1920. Her son, James Haman is living in 1920 Coffee and so is Martha.
Death
Archibald “Archie” B. Haman died 25 Sep 1876 in Dooly County, Georgia. His wife, Martha Cox Haman died in Ware County, Georgia and is buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
